Everything is bigger in Texas. That’s how the saying goes, and so of course with school just weeks away, we focus on this little company with a big campaign. Mum Star Custom Mums

Mum Star is a business owned by Leatha Sims of Fort Worth, Texas which makes custom mums for all events. You might have seen the custom pink and black trailer around the Fort Worth area making its rounds, and promoting its brand. Yes, well, I designed that. I am responsible for the pink splashes that cover the trailer from all sides, shouting “Look at me!”. That was Leatha’s aim when we first met to design her vehicle wrap. She wanted it to attract attention, all the while having a sense of beauty to it. Mums have been the center of high school homecoming events throughout the DFW area, so with that, we brought in some high school cheerleaders for a photo shoot. The fact that high school students are on all sides of the Mum Star trailer helps attract the client demographic.  Overall we were very happy with the inspiration for the final design, and Mum Star has been successful in bringing in new clients every year. We even took some shots of her daughter and my daughter together with the custom mums. They look pretty sweet, and just so you know, everything is bigger in Texas!

This was a fun shoot, and of course the girls had a lot of fun being divas! Mums and all, there is a wide variety in the Mum Star Trailer. It is one of those mobile stores that can be parked in front of your local high school. Students can walk up to Leatha and order their custom mums to their specifications. It gets pretty intricate.
