A few months back I was invited to participate in an art show called, Party on Crockett on West 7th street. Fort Worth has its certain charm, and so the local artists pulled together to create an event with the local vendors in the area. Each artist was assigned a vendor to create art for during the show. Everyone knows I have a sweet tooth, and for some reason I was assigned Dude, Sweet Chocolate. I couldn’t have been more pleased with this choice.

I don’t always participate in art shows, but in this event, I had to follow through somehow. I got the idea of shooting some photos of the store interior with little miss Abcidy Robledo. I thought it was an interesting idea to see how a child would walk into a candy store (in this case pure chocolate), and go about choosing the right bar. Anyone who has entered Dude, Sweet Chocolate knows that they have a huge selection of chocolates. I couldn’t even decide which one I wanted, and I am an adult! The variety of items they have for sale make it an instant challenge for lovers of chocolate. I know I was limited in space as soon as I walked in here, so I set up a kicker light. Looking back now, I am not sure it would be my first choice again, but considering they had customers walking in every few seconds, it was not too bad. The end results gave a spooky effect, but hey, it reminded me of dark chocolate!

I had fun being the kid in the candy store. The staff was very friendly, and it even turns out that they have more than one location.
