These are a series of tests I did a couple of months ago with the Profoto B10s. I wanted to capture a nice sunset with a variety of clouds in the background for this shot. There was what I call hay sushi near my studio, so Ericka and I decided to see what we could compose during these test shots.

As you can see there are a multitude of great angles. Positioning the B10 and using the available light created some nice dramatic exposures. I have been very impressed with such a small portable light to create some punchy images.

I’d like to shoot some groups of people for a more challenging set up. The 2×3 soft box and grid really carved out the forefront while I exposed for the background. It all came together quite nicely. I’ll recreate this again soon but it will be with at least 3 people to see how well the lights and their modifiers do.
