A photographer is always looking for some kind of adventure, and if they don’t find it, they have to create it. Well this adventure begins with a very windy day that eventually led to rain, and then the fear of all that expensive gear getting washed out. Luckily we didn’t have to venture far to get these beautiful shots before the rain started to pour down. This is a continuation of the Simply Red series we shot a little while back. The color splash is very inspirational to us as we campaign for these kinds of images. We keep it simple when we hit the road to shoot somewhere in the field, and in this instance a Profoto B2 location kit, my trusty Nikon D800, and my lucky tripod.
As the series evolves, I will be adding more color splash concepts that will eventually lead to campaigns using these images. I cannot wait to show you what those are as I collect the content from these shoots and pick the best ones to create as full fledged ads.
