Documentary: Distorted Proportions

Known for its oddities, Coney Island is a magical place for Street Photography. The Coney Island Lighthouse is on my radar, but instead I find myself in a tough situation climbing a rusted wall, avoiding the salt of the sea, and observing some strange people.

S2/ E2: The Met Cloisters
We venture in to The Met Cloisters for an old world photo tour of this medieval art museum. It is free to New York residents. Beautiful art, reverb in every room, green gardens, and the feel of a rebuilt monastery.
S2/ E1: Tweed Tunnels
The WW1 Shooting Range Tweed Tunnels in Nyack, New York are located in Blauvelt State Park. They used to be a rifle range back in 1910, and these ruins of Camp Bluefield is all that remain. The tunnels were used to prevent the soldiers from catching a stray bullet as they ventured from one side of the range to the other. Filled with graffiti, cave crickets, wolf spiders, and wildlife, the Tweed Tunnels are an interesting area to explore for photography.

After crossing the Williamsburg Bridge Pedestrian Path, we head over to Bedford Ave for a walkthrough of Williamsburg Experience.

Santas are out and about all over New York and on the top of the naughty list is none other than comedian Steph Marc @stephmarcshow . Performing his funny bits out in the center of the universe.
S1/ E22: Brooklyn Photo Walk
Calm and chill morning photo walk out in Brooklyn Heights to Atlantic Ave. We run into a Hamptons production where I inadvertently become a background extra.
S1/ E21: Astra Lumina
Round 1 FIGHT! The vendors go at it for a few rounds of back and forth in Bryant Park. Then, we head over to Flushing Queens, New York to experience the Astra Lumina in the rain at the Queens Botanical Garden.
S1/ E20: East River Greenway
In this episode we get a strict warning from Grimace about surveillance cameras over at the East River Greenway in Manhattan, New York. It’s Thanksgiving Day, and we take some underpass photos by FDR and focus on the sister bridges Manhattan & The Brooklyn. Join me for a quick photo walk this past Thanksgiving Day.
S1/ E19: Protests at Rockefeller
My initial attempt to see the Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony was a bust. No backpacks allowed. So, I made my way into 5th Ave when I saw there was a protest going on. Passions were high and things got a little out of hand, but it’s just another day of photography out in New York.
S1/ E18: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
It’s Thanksgiving Day in New York. We head over to Columbus Circle to watch the event unfold and maybe take a few photos of the character balloons. Here are all the major highlights from Grogu, Monkey D. Luffy, The cast of Good Burger 2, Jimmy Fallon and the Roots, and the Big Guy Santa Clause.
S1/ E17: Flushing Hot Pot
On the way to Flushing, Queens for some Hot Pot and we begin this episode with some Subway Shenanigans. In Flushing we get some tongue action, a bit of street merch, and lastly some nice Hot Pot.
S1/ E16: Coney Island Sideshow
A must see attraction over in Coney Island. Watch Alaska and Maggie perform their magical and sensual glass breaking, sword swallowing, and nose tricks all at the Coney Island Sideshow.
S1/ E15: Bones & The Dark Tower
Bones gets hospitalized but makes a speedy recovery to service a new blue hair customer. Captain Jack creates a revolutionary teleporter. Bones acquires a phone and a surprise ending gives hope to conquering The Dark Tower.
S1/ E14: San Gennaro Feast
We begin this adventure in the Catacombs by Candlelight. Above, the great Feast of San Gennaro out in Little Italy. A few days of eating and walking around a crowded Mulberry Street.
S1/ E13: Time Sq Mariachi
Special Guest: Marc the Don and Mr. Robot head to Chinatown for a pork bun. Somehow ending up in Times Square to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. Can I get a hell no?
S1/ The Bones Show Special
Our regularly scheduled Beatdown Rhythm gets cancelled and replaced by THE BONES SHOW. This local artist wears a championship belt on his ear, does a Mike Tyson impression, and tells us about his crazy experiences in New York.

In our last episode we experienced some excitement in Brooklyn. This time we take a train to Soho and journey into the magical Chinatown for some Purple Yam. Matilda Djerf makes an appearance. S1/ E11: NYPD Make Arrests
Another day in Brooklyn, New York. There was some large gatherings going on that got out of hand off of Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. A private school teacher on site stated that public school students were fighting while the NYPD closed in. Watch the footage, see for yourself. I’m just a street photographer capturing these moments. This is New York.
