Sometimes when it’s late at night and nobody is around, I like to do stuff such as take photos of interesting things across the city. This night I decided to pay the 7th street bridge a little visit. If you’re unfamiliar with the area on this side of town, allow me to show you what you’re missing in the evening hours. This beautiful little bridge was recently renovated for $26 mil, and it just so happens to connect downtown Fort Worth to the Cultural District.

Fort Worth Bridge

Further down 7th you will find the streets filled to the brim with people on weekends. The area brings in people from all over the city to enjoy a meal or drinks with friends. The bar scene is pumping with long lines from patrons hoping from one bar to another. There is something here for everyone wanting to experience a taste of Fort Worth.

Montgomery Plaza

This area is also booming with people wanting to move in, escape the traffic, and take a shorter commute to work in downtown. I find it incredible that the area is capable of squeezing everything together without it feeling so overcrowded.

Church

Places of worship are everywhere in Texas. I like pretty things, so I had to shoot the stain glass window. There is an even bigger church right across the street from this one which dwarfs it in comparison. Even further down the street is a topless bar. Take your pick, but this place is not open at night.

Kimball Art Museum

Of course this is what it is all about; this big thing with boobs that is lacking that junk in the trunk. Now I know a thing or two about art, (in this case two), but looking at such an interesting sculpture as it towers in front of  The Kimball Art Museum is definitely a hit or miss for some people. Right away it gives you an impression of what to expect inside, and some art enthusiasts might skip this to head over to the neighboring art museum. The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth will tickle your unadulterated fancy if you’re up for it as well, but it is also not without its interesting “art” pieces.

I won’t go into too much detail about these places, or whether they are worth your time, but they sure do look beautiful at night. I suppose time alone to admire places like these throughout the city makes for a sense of appreciation. It’s awfully nice to enjoy the night without all those handsets attached to zombies lurking about.
