The Gang is all here

Posted by Mr. Robot | March 6th, 2019 | No responses

Let me first say that it is never an easy thing to shoot photos of a family. Gathering people together is easy enough, but making them all listen to you, getting them to smile, focusing on the poses, and when you’re finally ready to take the picture, someone blinks. Ahh well, there are worse case scenarios and then there are shoots like these.

Mi Familia

We go on location at the famous Trinity Park in Fort Worth, Texas. I like shooting here because on certain days there is nobody here. You have the park all to yourself, and nobody interferes with the shots. There are a few places that are idea for backdrops. The park is loaded with trees and a railroad track bridge that really suits the rustic look.

Great Exposures

I used the Profoto B10 lights for this shoot with modifiers like the octagon, the parabolic umbrella, and the Profoto A1 off camera flashes. Because it was such a nice day, I was able to experiment with some placement using the A1s.

More Family Please

As I stated, gathering subjects for photos is pretty easy, and it is even easier when you have a happy family that is open to taking some snaps on these rare instances when the gang is all here. It is often hard to be all in the same room, much less the same city, state, or country. When we have the opportunity, it is something we shouldn’t pass up for a nice photo session that will create long lasting memories.
