Summer is over and here comes the fall. We are in October and visiting some shots of the red series we did back in July. We had just moved into our new quarters and we are definitely digging the new environment. What better way to begin the new space with new photos. So here we are.
As an aspiring photographer I always want to use the tools that will help me achieve the look I am going for. I often shoot for myself versus shooting to please other people. Often times I am lucky enough to get a client who allows me to explore with much creativity, and then I get those assignments where I have to adhere to the restrictions. It is all a balance. This is why a project like the red series that I have been shooting has been an awesome way to express that creativity. So, back to the tools. I have been lucky enough to have the Profoto B2s in my arsenal of photo tools, and let me tell you how awesome it has been for being mobile. These small little lights have been such a convenience that I have nearly stopped using the Profoto D1s in studio. I try and get out to shoot as much as possible, so having something indoors in the summer heat was nothing short of a welcomed change of pace.
My daughter has been the anchor to my photography career. She has always been the Moera Creative mascot of sorts, and she has definitely put us up on the map when it comes to showcasing the outcome of our work. While this shoot appears to be simple and to the point, I like to think that every session we do just brings us more experience in defining what this company does. Back to where we came from originally was the place of creativity and imagination. I still remember being a little kid and playing make believe. Fast forward to today I am still that same kid playing make believe and I love it.
